On 22nd, 23rd and 24th August, I had this cool and fun enrichment camp based on Sciences, Maths and History..
ON 22nd....
On this day, I and my class went to this museum- Asian Civilisation Museum. It was so fun and interesting. Inside that museum there are alot of these ancient statues and artefacts. There's this lady giving us a tour about the ancient stuffs. Than there's this tourist guy just sneekingly standing beside my class listening to my class's tour guide. He tought the tour is free or what. Anyway I dun care about that... Next after we went to the museum, we went to Fort Canning Park also know as Bukit Larangan or Forbbiden Hill. The history down there is was much better and interesting to hear. There's this place where archaelogists dig up to find artefacts, some display about the past and some old coins. All these is based on the 14th century....after that we went home like about 5.30pm..I arrived home around 6pm..
ON 23rd....
Yesterday the theme is about science. The project was to make a rocket using PET Bottles. The teacher explained to us step by step to make the rocket. After 45 minutes of making and decorating the rocket, the class is ready to launched their rockets. We launched it at the school feild beside KJE. Before we lauched the rockets, we add in water inside the 'rocket' and placed it in the launcher. 5...4...3...2...1...BLAST OFF!!!! My rocket when quite a distance....not that far though. But overall the programme was fun and exciting but.......
THE BEST DAY WAS TODAY!!!!
On 24th August 2006
which is today...
My class and some other classes had this AMAZING RACE around the town area near Esplanade and Suntec City. The race was about Maths and more Maths. Firstly we went to the first station- where people take a sit and rest [not sure abt the place]. At this station we must count how many seats and find the total length of ALL the seats. We [my group] got zero points coz the answer we gave was not even close. However there is a bonous question and we managed to get 30 points.
Next station was at the bridge near The Fullerton Hotel. We must find the total length of the bridge. That was quite easy. Total points that we got for this station was 70 points including the bonous question's answer.
Third station was at the Merlion. We got 75 points for this station. The question is we must count how many men, women and children was standing around the Merlion area. We need to find the fraction, decimal and percentage of the men to the total number of people.
Last station was directly infront of the Esplanade buildings [Durians] we must find 6 shapes and 3 diffrent angles around that place. That was the best task ever.
After that had completed, we got in to the 14th place, so we didn't won anything HOWEVER...
guess what- my class an N[A] class won the FIRST prize but [diffrent group]!!!-Normal Acad class okay... all the express was kind of slow. Overall this day was the best day for the month of August.
Not only I and my group have fun but we did a great job as a team and we managed to complete the task together. That's the importance of a team. Even though we did not won, we at least tried out and enjoyed ourselves there.
I managed to take 22 photos.
I arrived at skool about 4.45pm and done some IPW project until 6.30pm...
I arrived home at 7.11pm
This was the best day yet!!!- very tired> sigh..
